We can say that using BCF yarn is limited in Iran, and it is mainly used for weaving carpets and rugs. Kashan is the origin of BCF yarn. Almost 80% of this yarn's production is used in Kashan, Aran and Bidgol, Natanz, and the surrounding areas of these cities. BCF carpets, machine-made rugs, shaggy carpets, embroidery of carpets and rugs are some of the products of BCF yarn in Kashan.
In Yazd, on the other hand, BCF yarn is used for producing rubbers as their strength pick. Other than that, simple two-coloured rubbers are another products of BCF yarn in Yazd.
In Isfahan, BCF yarn is used chiefly for flat-weave rugs or Jajim. Both warp and waft of the Jajim are BCF yarn, and thus it is called the BCF cloth. Ribbon weaving, quilt weaving, under-embroidery, embroidery, filtration weaving and veneer weaving are joint products of BCF in Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz, Mashhad, South Khorasan, Zanjan, Rasht and Qom, and these products have a very high diversity in their product range.
